Norwegian sourcream porridge. An old time favourite – great for cold autumn and winter evenings. Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and let a little bit of butter melt in the middle.
How to:
1. Mix the powder with 700 ml of cold water and 1 cup (300ml) sour cream or. Whisk well.2. Heat until it boils, stirring constantly and let the porridge simmer for about 7 minutes.
NB! It is very important to stir constantly until the porridge boils, and for the first few minutes of simmering to avoid lumps.
For a tangier porridge, replace 1 cup water with 1 cup buttermilk.
Serve with sugar, cinnamon and a bit of butter in the middle.
