This is the brown cheese lover's dream of a brown cheese.
Bascially, this is all goat's milk (the more common brand, Gudbrandsdalen, is both cow and goat) and it has a great bite to it.
This is the round version of the Ekte Geitost, imported from Norway.
If you are new to Norwegian Brown cheese, on a flavour scale, this is at the stronger end. if you are a new-bie, we suggest the Gudbrandsdalen or the really gentle Flotemysost also.
Please note: This is a chilled product.

A splendid start to the day, thinly sliced, eaten on home-made bread spread with raspberry jam (the jam sticks the cheese to the bread ) and no butter to spoil the flavour. Unlike any other cheese I've tasted. Sadly it is all too rare outside Norway; perhaps the Norwegians are cleverly keeping it to themselves as much as possible. Try it if you get the chance.

I fell in love with this cheese in Norway. It makes a wonderful breakfast cut with my Norwegian cheese slicer (a must!) and laid in thin slices on toast and blackcurrant jam....yum! This all goat version is the best ever.

I love to have this wonderful cheese on toast in the morning! All I can say it's so divinely mouth-watering...
I wish that ye spread it all over UK thus I can buy this among the normal cheese section in any shop!!
