Dinkelmjöl: Swedish spelt flour. Spelt (Triticum spelta) is a hexaploid species of wheat. It’s one of our oldest grains – evidence of spelt has been found as far back as 2500 BC. The Vikings used spelt flour a lot – and research shows that we should all be replacing some of our normal flour with spelt to live a bit healthier. Note that people with a wheat intolerance MAY find they can eat spelt – although it is not suitable for actual gluten intolerance.
