CAFE MENU

We serve our Scandinavian open sandwich smorgasbord every weekday and Saturday from 11:30-15:00(ish). 

Choose from a mixture of the daily selection of open sandwiches, wraps and salads below to make up your favourite lunch. Three pieces is a light lunch, five is for the hungry.

Open sandwiches        

Scandinavian prawns with sliced egg, mayonnaise, dill and lemon on dark rye bread

Smoked salmon with dill dressing and cucumber on crusty stone ground bread

Cured salmon (gravadlax) on dark rye bread (special guest – pop by once in a while)

Skagenröra (seafood salad) on crusty cereal bread (special guest – pops by once in a while)

Danish pork liver pate with pickled beetroot and cucumbers and tomato on light rye bread

Rare roasted beef with picallili remoulade and pickled cucumbers on dark rye bread

Swedish meatballs with beetroot and apple salad, green leaves on stone ground bread

Danish salami with piccalilli remoulade and red onion on light rye bread

Egg and Tomato salad, rocket and spinach leaves on light rye bread (v)

Scandinavian cheese with radish and chive on crusty bread (v)

Pickled herrings of the day served with rye bread and butter

Swedish Tunnbrod (flat rye and wheat wrap) (min 3 recipes per day)

Smoked ham and Scandinavian cheese / Scandinavian cheese and mixed chopped peppers / Skagenrora seafood salad (Prawns and crayfish) / Smoked salmon and dill with crunchy leaves / Crayfish and coriander with baby spinach / Snofrisk goats cheese with walnut and honey

Homebaked cakes are a favourite.  We have several different cakes on every day, from selection of:
