Delivery

We ship all over UK mainland using UPS, DPD and APC couriers, with next day and no rush options available to most postcodes (mainland UK). Certain limitations and surcharges apply to addresses the Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands  and outlying islands and rural areas.

If you are ordering to the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or Shetland please note that we can only ship certain items outside mainland UK – mainly dry goods and non fragile goods.

No drinks, jars or fresh items can be shipped and we accept no liability for any fresh items being delayed in transit, nor do we accept liability for temperature controls of these items during transit.

Please note that during November and December longer handling times apply. No Rush shipping will have 5 working days of handling time.

We offer No Rush shipping options. These have longer handling times as indicated on the checkout page once you have entered your shipping address. We also offer Next Day delivery services – please note that the next day means working days only; orders placed between Monday and Thursday before 12 pm will be shipped for next day delivery (to most mainland UK – delivery times may be longer to other locations). Next day orders placed between Thursday after 12 pm and Sunday evening will be shipped on Monday. We do not ship orders over the weekend unless you have specifically chosen Saturday delivery before 12 pm on Friday, in which case your order will be shipped on Friday for delivery before noon on Saturday.

Please check your delivery address carefully before placing an order as we will not be responsible for delivery to an incorrect address. In some cases we may be able to resend or reroute a parcel that is returned to us or delayed due to an incorrect or incomplete address but this is subject to charge; starting from £15 (subject to change).

 

No Rush shipping option (ships within 5 working days)

Our No Rush deliveries will be shipped within 5 working days from placing your order with an overnight service. We will ship your order once it is complete – we are unable to hold orders until closer to Christmas due to the high volume of orders. No Rush shipping is free for orders over £60 (to most mainland UK postcodes).

 

Next Day Guaranteed shipping option (order by 12 pm between Monday and Thursday)

Order before 12 pm between Monday and Thursday to be eligible for Next Day delivery. Please email shop@scandikitchen.co.uk if you are cutting it close and we will be able to advise you on the delivery date of your order.

Please note that orders placed after 12 pm on a Thursday will NOT be shipped until Monday (for delivery on Tuesday). We do not ship or deliver over the weekend unless you have specifically chosen Saturday delivery as your shipping option.

 

Free delivery

We offer free No Rush shipping for orders over £60 to most mainland UK postcodes only. Please note that No Rush deliveries will be shipped within 5 working days from placing your order with an overnight service.

Free delivery promotion – In the event that we offer free delivery as past of a promotion, the following terms and conditions apply; a free shipping promotion covers standard shipping to most mainland UK. Areas not covered include outlying isles, the Scottish highlands, Northern Ireland and some additional areas. If you are in an area not covered by standard shipping, please contact us to receive your personal shipping discount code for your area. Alcoholic beverages are excluded. Minimum order of £30 required as specified in the promotion. One use per customer, one time use only, not transferable. We reserve the right to remove the offer at any time. Valid within specified timeframe only. It is your own responsibility to select the free shipping option at checkout as made available by use of a promotion code. A free shipping coupon code cannot be used with any other offer or coupon. We may ship orders using Royal Mail, APC or DPD. Royal Mail (ships within 5 working days)

For non-urgent, ambient orders under 2 kilograms you will be able to choose Royal Mail as a shipping option. If you have selected Royal Mail as your shipping your order will be dispatched within 5 working days of placing your order. Royal Mail will add 3-5 working days of handling time. Please note that this service is not tracked.

 

Customer Collection from ScandiKitchen store (central London)

You can also choose to pick up your order from our store in central London. This option is free of charge.

We deliver to our store for pick up on Tuesday and Thursday mornings during the low season. During busier seasons (e.g. Christmas) we deliver orders to the café more frequently and you will receive an email as soon as your order is ready for pick up.

Customer collection orders will be sent with the next available shipment in to the store, providing stock is available. Please note that customer collection orders are sent from our warehouse to our store. If you order, for example, on a Saturday, your order will be ready for pick up on Tuesday. If you order on a Wednesday, pick up will be available on Thursday (subject to change).

Please note that you have 1 week to pick up your order from our store before it will be returned back to our warehouse in Park Royal, unless we have agreed otherwise with you.

 

International deliveries, The Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Shetland

We can ship some items to mainland Europe, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Shetland (within the EU member states only). Delivery charges depend on location and will be advised at checkout once you have entered your shipping address. Deliveries to mainland EU is done within 3-5 working day basis and we do not accept any liability for delays that occur with couriers.

Please note that we are unable to ship goods outside the EU due to tax reasons.

Please also note that we recommend only ordering dry and non-fragile goods outside the mainland UK. Drinks, jars and fresh items can be shipped outside of the mainland UK but we accept no liability for any fresh items being delayed in transit, nor do we accept liability for temperature controls of these items during transit.

 

Order tracking

We use APC, DPD and UPS to deliver our parcels. The easiest way to track your delivery is to follow the link in your dispatch email.

Please note that once the order has left our warehouse it will be your responsibility to receive it and inform the courier of any changes. In the event that you are not able to be in to receive your order, please notify the courier immediately so an alternative delivery date or address can be arranged.

If you have ordered fresh goods, due to the nature of the goods the couriers may be unable to hang on to the orders beyond the first delivery attempt; orders will be left at your own risk unless the courier is notified by you in due time about an alternative delivery address or date. The couriers are not able to contact you directly upon delivery. We strongly advice for you to leave delivery instructions for the courier of a safe place to leave your parcel in should you not be able to accept the delivery yourself.

All courier parcels have to be signed for if instructions on where to leave your parcel have not been given.

Generally the following rules apply:

  • APC, DPD and UPS will only make one delivery attempt.
  • APC, DPD and UPS delivery record will be conclusive proof of delivery.
  • Parcels can potentially be rerouted but this is subject to charge; starting from £15.
